Is my walk worthy of the Lord?

So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord [displaying admirable character, moral courage, and personal integrity], to [fully] please Him in all things - Colossians 1:10a (Amplified Bible) One thing has become abundantly clear over the last few years; we are in an all-out battle for absolute truth in this world. Like no other time in our lives has truly been attacked by unbelievers and those professing to be Christians. The deterioration of the message from church pulpits across America to codify "woke" ideologies has enhanced the author's goal of confusion, Satan, in his attempt to silence the Gospel. As such, Christ-followers must be prepared to defend the absolute truth of the Word of God and, more specifically, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The defense of The Gospel remains the most urgent element in a Christ-followers execution of a walk worthy of the Lord. Am I proactively defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Only [be sure to] lead your lives in a manner [t

Am I filled with the knowledge of His will?

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, - Colossians 1:9 (ESV) The knowledge of His will is not just an inner impression or feeling but a deep and thorough knowledge of the will of God that is finally and completely revealed in the Word of God. This knowledge is the result of the working of the Holy Spirit in the Christ-follower's life in combination with the Word of God. Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being] - Colossians 3:16a (Amplified Bible) Scripture should permeate every aspect of the believer's life and control every thought, word, and deed. Bible study is an essential ingredient in the believer's spiritual life because it is only in the study of the Bible, as the Holy Spirit blesses, that Christians hear Christ and discover what it means to follow

Am I praying for others?

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. - Colossians 1:9-12 (ESV) In this life we will establish relationships with many people. These relationships can range from numerous short term interactions to very close friendships that last a lifetime. As we encounter these people that God has placed into our life, we will be made aware of cares, concerns and needs in their life. Am I sensitive to opportunities to proactively pray for others as they are presented to me? Am I a person that others ask to pray for them? F

What is my primary purpose in this life?

Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Look, all things have become new. All this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and has entrusted to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us. We implore you in Christ's stead: Be reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (MEV) As transformed followers of Jesus Christ, our primary purpose in this world is not providing for our family, being faithful with all we have been entrusted with, excelling in any endeavor to which we are called, or even being a good and moral person who helps others in need. Wait...What?? Does that mean that these responsible behaviors are not important? Absolutely not! They are important because responsible living is one ev
