Is my walk worthy of the Lord?

So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord [displaying admirable character, moral courage, and personal integrity], to [fully] please Him in all things - Colossians 1:10a (Amplified Bible)

One thing has become abundantly clear over the last few years; we are in an all-out battle for absolute truth in this world. Like no other time in our lives has truly been attacked by unbelievers and those professing to be Christians. The deterioration of the message from church pulpits across America to codify "woke" ideologies has enhanced the author's goal of confusion, Satan, in his attempt to silence the Gospel. As such, Christ-followers must be prepared to defend the absolute truth of the Word of God and, more specifically, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The defense of The Gospel remains the most urgent element in a Christ-followers execution of a walk worthy of the Lord.

Am I proactively defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Only [be sure to] lead your lives in a manner [that will be] worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I do come and see you or remain absent. I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit [and one purpose], with one mind striving side by side [as if in combat] for the faith of the Gospel. - Philippians 1:27 (Amplified Bible)

You and I can discover the truth, but we cannot create it. What's true is true and what's not is not – for all of us, all the time. According to our growth and enlightenment, our culture views truth as something inside us, subject to revision. Scripture views truth as something outside us, which we can believe or not but can never sway. - Randy Alcorn

The link below is to an article summarizing the battle for truth that John MacArthur, pastor of Grace Community Church in California, has faced in recent years and provides an awesome example of a fellow Christ-follower and pastor for over 50 years executing a walk worthy of the Lord. We may not have a platform, podium, or congregation in an auditorium listening to us each week. Still, our individual responsibility to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the "congregation" that God has put into our path each day is a critical component of our individual walk worthy of the Lord.

Excerpt from the article:

People need the Word of God. People need salvation. People need discipleship. This is true in every season; it is especially true in terrible, twisted times like ours. This is not the time for pulling back and easing up; this is the time for doubling down and investing deeper. Sound churches led by sound men will do just this and will experience God's blessing, just as unsound churches led by unsound or drifting men will wither, God, having lifted his gracious hand from them. - Owen Strachan

Fixed laws still exist when we move from the physical to the spiritual realm. We cannot exist without laws in the moral and spiritual dimensions of life any more than we can do in the physical dimension. Our Creator built morality into life. Just as there are physical laws, so there are spiritual laws….The same God who controls the physical world by fixed laws controls the moral and spiritual world. - John MacArthur

Be Encouraged to walk each day in a manner worthy of your Creator and Savior.
