Am I plugged in?
Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances.
I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] - Philippians 4:11-13 (Amplified Bible)
Have you ever had your phone or computer die and not have a charging cable? What a helpless feeling. What you need to help you execute life is in your hands, but you have no way to access it's power.
Battery-powered electronic devices are very useful in today's world. However, if they are not connected to a permanent source of power on a consistent basis to recharge, they essentially become a useless piece of plastic.
How effective would my electronic device be if I recharged it with the same frequency and duration that I read God's Word?
As a transformed follower of Christ, my ability to execute God's plan for my life will require me to be plugged into the permanent source of power, Jesus Christ, on a consistent basis to remain effective. My power to execute His will is provided through a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, the reading of His Word and communion in prayer every day.
I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real-life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 (Living Bible)
Would someone reviewing only my daily schedule for the last three months be able to validate that it is no longer I that lives, but Christ who lives in me?
Am I merely living, or am I walking with God?
Be Encouraged to read His Word to execute His will, His way, in His timing, for His glory, by His strength.
