Will I trust God?

Dear children, this world’s last hour has come. You have heard about the Antichrist who is coming—the one who is against Christ—and already many such persons have appeared. This makes us all the more certain that the end of the world is near. These “against-Christ” people used to be members of our churches, but they never really belonged with us or else they would have stayed. When they left us it proved that they were not of us at all. But you are not like that, for the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you know the truth. So I am not writing to you as to those who need to know the truth, but I warn you as those who can discern the difference between true and false. - 1 John 2:18-21 (Living Bible)

So in one sense we have to guard the church against the false teachers. In the other sense, even though we’re protecting and guarding so that we can honor the truth which honors God, we realize that when lies come, lies cannot cause true believers to abandon the faith. What the liars do is collect the people who are professors but who are not possessors, the false Christians, and draw them to themselves and thus purge the church. It doesn’t matter what Satan does, God overrules it. - John MacArthur

Be Encouraged to trust God in all things and execute His will, His way, in His timing and for His glory.

Thirty years ago, I had the opportunity to pay tribute to the most influential man in my life. One of the things I shared was that in the way he lived his life, Monday through Saturday were no different than Sunday. His Christlike behavior was not relegated to Sunday, it was lived out each day of his life. Whether he was teaching, coaching, officiating, negotiating, serving in the church, or driving a truck (his summer job), it was evident that his priority in life was to bring honor to the name of Jesus Christ.
