Is my life characterized by the fruit of the Spirit?

Image
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit's power, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. - Galatians 5:22-25 At the point of salvation, the Holy Spirit enters our life and begins the work conforming us to the image of Christ by replacing the works of our sinful nature with the fruit of the Spirit. The life of a true Christ-follower, a person indwelt by the Holy Spirit, is characterized by the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in increasing quantities. As we yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help us identify and replace the old sin nature habits with His fruit, we are conformed to the likeness of Christ through sanctification. What can separate me from the Love of God?

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s Love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the Love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:35,37,39 (NLT) God’s Love is infinite because God IS Love. There is no beginning and no end; there is no sometimes, no choice, no stipulations, and no requirements with God’s Love. God is Love and therefore loves unconditionally. Despite all that you may be experiencing in this life at this time, take a few minutes to disconnect from the issues of the day and focus your full attention on the infinite Love of the Creator of heaven and earth, your Creator, as you meditate on the verses below. For we know how dearly God

Am I living with Courage?

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:8-9 (NLT) Courage has been defined as the ability to control your fear. The Bible is very clear that fear is the exact opposite of faith and the two cannot coexist. In general, we are controlled by fear when we find ourselves in a situation without control. The realization that we cannot control the situation leads us to focus our full attention on all that we cannot control. Being overwhelmed and focusing primarily on all that we cannot control, we are consumed by worry, which feeds the fear. How can we stop this cycle? Enter Courage... Courage to take the first step of faith. Then Peter called to him, "Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come to you, wa

How can I experience true freedom?

So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. - John 8:36 (NLT) The following is an excerpt from Experiencing the Presence of God by AW Tozer. The truest Christian is the freest Christian, and the gospel of Jesus Christ sets slaves free. However, you say, "My experience with Christians has not taught me that they are the ideal people you've described." The reason is that very few Christians are prepared to go with God all the way. They go part of the way and then improvise. They follow the Lord until things look a little sticky, and then they say, "Well, there's no use to get radical about this and be a fanatic; I think I can reason this out myself." So, they have a panel discussion and decide what the Lord really should have said there. The result is, of course, lukewarmness, which God will spew out of His mouth. "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm
